The song of birds is among the most beautiful sounds in nature and has fascinated humans since the beginning of times. But did you know that many birds have to learn their songs from their parents similar to how we learn to speak? How did scientists find out? What can songbird research teach us about how we learn to speak? Why do birds sing? And what do they tell each other? In this lecture I will take you on a tour into the fascinating world of songbirds and answer these questions by explaining the research that provided them.
