Life arises from the breaking and formation of bonds, and from collective behaviour arising out of weak interactions, such as electrostatic attraction, between different atoms in the living system. Molecular simulations of living systems enable us to measure the interactions and predict the behaviour of biological molecules and complexes. The talk will discuss some examples of the applications of molecular simulations in living systems, such as a molecular mechanism of the Umami taste sensation when you eat a pizza, steak, or makarel i tomat.
