The science of being

Investigations of identity, mobility and culture change in the European Bronze Age
Foredrag ved Samantha Scott Reiter

MANDAG D. 11. SEPTEMBER 2017
UNF Lyngby

Fact and truth are two sides of the same coin. This presentation will examine the social, biological and psychological mechanisms behind the formation of identity in relation to human mobility and culture change and, in so doing, it will move from the hot expanses of the Hungarian Plain the cooler reaches of ancient Scandinavia. It will address not only the social formulations behind the creation of identity, but will also touch upon our means of scientifically framing out those topics (archaeological typologies, geochemical work on dental enamel and study of femoral geometry and non-metrics). Fedora and whip optional.

NB: fordraget foregår på engelsk.
