A high return rate and a closed loop recycling of single use beverage packaging (bottle to bottle) makes the Danish deposit system one of the best recycling systems in the world. Great support among the Danes, an efficiently driven circular business and major environmental and climate benefits are some of the reasons for the success of the system.
Hanne Luke from Dansk Retursystem, the organization that handles the Danish container deposit system, will talk about how the closed loop recycling system works, and why it works so well in Denmark.
